Custom web development
I build websites from scratch. No templates, no plugins and no monthly fee for a content system nobody opens. A company website starts at CZK 12,000 and takes 2 to 6 weeks. Once it is paid for, the code and the domain are yours, access included, so you are not tied to anyone. Not even to me.
Why not a template
Templates are not bad because they are cheap. They are bad because of what comes after.
- Speed. A page that loads a builder, a slider, a cookie tool and four tracking scripts is slow on mobile, and mobile is where most of your visitors are.
- Security. Every plugin is somebody else's code with its own update cycle. Sites do not get hacked through the design, they get hacked through the plugins.
- Fees. Licences and add ons quietly add up to more per year than the site cost to build.
- Looks. A template makes a company look like every other company using it, which is precisely what you were paying to avoid.
What is in the price, even when nobody mentions it
- Speed and Core Web Vitals, measured, not promised
- Accessibility, keyboard operation and readable contrast
- SEO groundwork: structure, titles, descriptions, structured data, sitemap
- Analytics with no cookie banner, so the site does not nag on arrival
- Handover of the code, the domain and the access, plus a short walkthrough
How it runs
- Intro call. Half an hour is enough for me to know whether I can help and for you to know whether you want me.
- Written quote. A firm price and deadline, not an open ended hourly rate. Extra work only after approval.
- Design and sign off. You see what it will look like before the first line of code.
- Build and launch. I send you a live link throughout, so there are no surprises at the end.
- After handover. A month of small fixes included, then either nothing or an agreed care arrangement.
When I will talk you out of it
- When a one pager would do. A single page with contact details and opening hours should be built cheaply. I will tell you how, even if you do not hire me.
- When there is nothing to show. A new site without photos, references and copy ends up like the old one. Content first, site second.
- When you expect the site to bring customers by itself. A website is where people land. Something else has to bring them: search, ads or word of mouth.

FAQ
How much does a custom website cost?+
From CZK 12,000. The price moves with the number of pages, whether copy and photos need producing, and whether the site connects to anything else such as bookings or stock. You get the price in writing and fixed, not as an hourly rate with an open end. Full pricing is on a separate page.
What do you build on, if not WordPress?+
Hand written code, deployed as a static site where possible. That means it is fast, has no plugin holes and needs no monthly licence. When you genuinely need a content system, because you change copy daily, I will say so and we will use one.
Can I edit the content myself afterwards?+
Yes. Which parts are editable is agreed up front, and you get a walkthrough at handover. For sites that change rarely, editing the source is often faster than any admin panel, and I will show you how.
Do you work with clients outside Czechia?+
Yes, the work is remote anyway. I run projects in English across the EU and further afield. For clients in Czechia I can also meet in person, I am based in Plzeň.
What happens if I want to leave later?+
You take everything with you. After handover and final payment you own the code, the domain and all access, so another developer can pick it up without rebuilding. That is the point of not locking anything behind a proprietary system.
